About Devine Learning Academy

Devine Learning Academy (DLA) is an alternative instructional program focused on academic achievement and self-discipline. It serves high school students who have not found success in a traditional school setting by providing flexible, personalized educational options.  DLA is built on a foundation of positive, proactive academic support. Students engage in a self-paced, online education program designed to meet individual needs while promoting responsibility and independence in learning.

Our Mission:
To develop students into leaders—in their schools, communities, homes, and most importantly, in their everyday lives. At DLA, students are encouraged to adopt a positive attitude toward education, both academically and behaviorally, while upholding honor, dignity, and respect for themselves and others.  The DLA staff is dedicated to providing the highest quality of instruction, guidance, and mentorship. Our goal is to support students who may have made poor choices, helping them become successful learners and responsible leaders.

Students assigned to DLA will continue working toward graduation through rigorous and standards-based coursework. The curriculum includes all core academic subjects—English, math, science, and social studies—delivered via EDGENUITY, a state-approved online platform, and/or supplemental assignments, projects, and assessments provided by their home-campus teachers. When available, selected elective courses will also be offered through IMAGINE LEARNING. Credit recovery options are provided as needed.  Daily physical activity is a part of the DLA experience, supporting the development of healthy habits and overall well-being.

The DLA team works closely with each student's home campus to ensure alignment with academic goals and to support a smooth transition back to a traditional school environment when appropriate.
