About Devine Alternative Education Program

The Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP) is an instructional and behavioral support program for students in elementary through high school who have been removed from their regular classrooms for either mandatory or discretionary disciplinary reasons.  At Devine ISD, our DAEP is built on a foundation of positive, proactive academic instruction and behavioral guidance. The goal is to help students learn from past mistakes, strengthen their sense of right and wrong, and maintain progress in their academic development.

Our Mission:
To empower students to become leaders—within their schools, communities, homes, and most importantly, in their daily lives. Through accountability, structure, and support, students in DAEP will cultivate a positive attitude toward learning, uphold behavioral expectations, and demonstrate honor, dignity, and respect for themselves and others.

The dedicated staff at Devine DAEP are committed to delivering the highest level of teaching and mentorship. Our goal is to guide students who have made poor choices back onto a path of success, shaping them into responsible individuals and future leaders.
