Devine ISD is committed to ensuring compliance for all software licensing agreements that have been installed on district computers. Devine ISD machines have been provided for both educational purposes and business use. Devine ISD expects these machines to be used in this manner and not for personal use. The vast majority of system crashes/lockups are caused by poorly written software. We have found the "free" downloads to be rather costly, causing more problems than they are worth.
- No software is to be loaded on any district owned machine without prior approval from the technology dept.
- If you need software to do your job, please send in a purchase order so that we may fill it.
- It is against Devine ISD policy to bring a CD from home and install it on a Devine ISD computer without prior approval. If unauthorized software is found on a machine, it will be removed without warning. This includes games and screen savers.
- It is against Devine ISD policy to download and install any software off the Internet without prior approval.
