Dear DMS Parents,

I forgot a BIG calendar event... Our annual "Winter Wonderland Dance,"
sponsored by the faculty, will be held on Friday, January 18, from 6-9:00
p.m.  The cost of admission for this dance is only $3.00!  There will be a
concession stand with Frito pies, hotdogs, nachos, snacks, desserts, and
drinks, and a winter-wonderful photo background for digital pictures with
friends.  As with all DMS dances, no student is allowed to leave early
unless a parent comes inside to pick them up.  If anyone other than a
parent (sibling, friend's parent, etc...) comes inside for early dismissal
from the dance, they must have a note signed by the parent giving them
permission to do so.  For the 9:00 dismissal, students are allowed to ride
home with friends and do not need a permission slip.  We ask that all
parents be in the pick-up line at 9:00 (sharp).  The line is long, but it
moves quickly, and we are usually completely through with student
departures by 9:20.  The Winter Wonderland Dance is the faculty's
fundraiser to help defray expenses when we travel to Austin this year for
the Texas Middle School Association's state-wide conference.  Thank you
for your support.

Below you will find the links to the grade-level newsletters that were
sent home with student report cards Wednesday.  Also, please remind your
child to return his/her signed report card to homeroom as soon as
possible.  Teachers will start holding lunch detention for unreturned
reports next Monday.
