[Msparents] evacuation

Dear Parents,

Yesterday the Devine Middle School was evacuated on the recommendation of
the Devine Polcie Department due to rapidly moving grass fire. Students
were evacuated to the Devine Intermediate School as a precautionary
messure and were not in any immediate danger. High school students were
placed in the gym for better ventilation  due to the immense smoke, and
buses were on stand-by  in the high school parking lot in case evacuation
was needed. The Devine Community Center was also contacted and on stand-by
as an additional evacuation site.
One school bus was held due to its route's proximtiy to the grass fire.
Thanks goes out to the Devine PD, DISD administrators, staff, and
transportation department for their quick and responsive efforts to ensure
student safety. 
And and always, thank you, parents, for your understanding and cooperation
as we strive to provide a safe environment for the students of Devine ISD.
