Hello parents,
I hope you had a good Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends.
Teachers report that our students arrived this morning ready to give their
best effort the next four weeks and finish the semester. The cafeteria
ladies reported that students were happy to have something other than
turkey to eat but were looking for a "PIE fix" at lunch time today--as
many apparently grew accustomed to eating dessert for breakfast, lunch,
and dinner during the break! :)
Please remind your child that his/her signed progress report needs to be
turned in to homeroom teachers as soon as possible. Many did not have
them during homeroom today which is understandable after the long break,
so we're giving them until Wednesday to get them in without penalty.
Tutorial letters are also going out this week, so be sure to ask your
child if he/she received one.
Students who need picture re-takes may come to school out of uniform on
Thursday this week (Nov. 29th). Order forms are available in the school
office, and students must pick one up ahead of time and bring the form and
their money with them on picture day.
The DMS UIL one-act play, "Arsenic and Old Lace," will be performed
Tuesday night at 7:00p.m. in the cafeteria. It last approximately 40
minutes. The play is a fun comedy, and our young actors would appreciate
you attending and showing your support. This will be their final
performance before competition this Saturday in Eagle Pass.
Have a great week!
