Dear Parents,

Today, I received an inquiry about an incident earlier this semester
involving an alleged threat to some students at Devine High School. At the
time of the alleged incident, DHS administrators fully investigated and
questioned students and staff. The high school administration determined
that there was no eminent danger posed to any student or teacher. Since
that time, parents of the students that were allegedly threatened have
been notified, and both parents and students have met with the principal.
We would like for you to know that your child’s safety is a top priority
in Devine ISD, and the district will take every precaution to ensure that
all allegations and threats, even those that may be determined as pranks,
will be taken seriously and fully investigated.
