Our academic teams have time set aside each day to meet with parents (or
participate in conference calls) during their teaming time.  If you have
questions about your child's progress report from last week or would just
like a general update, I encourage you to contact the grade level team. 
8th grade meets from 10:30-11:16 each day; 7th grade, 1:54-2:40; and 6th
grade, 1:04-1:50.  Phone the school office at 830.851.0695 to arrange a
conference.

Mrs. Schneider and I will be visiting students in their homeroom classes
during the next week to talk about the importance of our upcoming
benchmark exams, attending tutorials, and promotion/retention
requirements.  Rather than give another copy of the written policy in the
handbook, the students will receive a simplified "flowchart" to bring home
and share with you regarding how we determine promotion to the next grade
level, summer school attendees, and student retention.  I encourage you to
call Mrs. Schneider or me if you have any questions after reviewing the
chart.
