In DISD-Volunteers Make A Difference

This past week National Volunteer Week was celebrated in calling to the
public’s attention all that volunteers do to improve our communities.
Devine ISD would like to publicly thank and honor all the many parents and
community members who tirelessly work to support and enhance campus and
group activities. A special thank you to the district’s recognized parent
groups: Devine Elementary PTO, Devine Intermediate PTO, Devine Middle
School PTO, and the Devine Athletic Boosters, and Devine Band Boosters for
their dedication in helping to enrich the school’s participation in
educational and extracurricular activities. Additionally, DISD would like
to express their appreciation to all individuals and businesses who
continue to reach out and support our schools in so many ways. Their
contributions of time and talent not only benefit the students and staff,
but their selfless acts of service to our community and school help set
examples to the youth of Devine. As President W. Bush said, “The great
hope of the county lies in the hearts and souls of our people.”  Devine
ISD is very fortunate to have such dedicated volunteers and many will be
recognized this week at individual campuses.”
