    Daylight Savings Time
    Daylight Savings Time starts this weekend. Don't forget to "spring
forward" and move your clocks up  
    one hour before going to bed Saturday night.


   Texas Public School Week
   DISD will also celebrate Education: Go Get It Week in conjunction with
Texas Public School Week. 
   Education: Go Get It Week focuses on the importance of higher
education. 
   Scheduled events are as follows:

Monday-March 10th- Devine Middle and High School will host “College Night”
in the DHS gym from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Twenty representatives from local
colleges and the military will have displays and be ready to answer
questions. A PowerPoint presentation will also be available for parents
and students to view and parents have the opportunity to visit with their
child’s teachers from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Tuesday-March 11th -J.J. Ciavarra Elementary, Devine Intermediate, and the
Parent Learning Network will host a Parent Breakfast and Alumni Day from
7:15-8:15 a.m. Students, parents, and teachers are asked to wear their
favorite college memorabilia.

Thursday-March 13th -J.J. Ciavarra Elementary will hold their Open House
from 5:00-6:30 p.m., and Devine Intermediate School will hold their Open
House from 6:00-7:00 p.m. The events for the week will conclude with the
second graders performing at the PTO meeting at 7:00 p.m. in the
Intermediate gym.


Devine ISD Spring Break
Devine ISD will dismiss classes on Friday, March 14th at 1:00 for Spring
Break.
Bus Schedule: For Early Dismissal Day, buses will run at he following
times: PreK and Handicapped will run at 12:00. All other buses will run at
1:00 p.m.
Classes resume at the normal time on Monday, March 24, 2008 on all
campuses The administration office will also be closed.
