Just a reminder----
The email below was sent out on August 29, 2007 and January 21, 2008, but
want all parents to be reminded  of the calendar revision for February in
case you are still using one of the old calendars sent out the first week
of school.

District Calendar Revision

At the regular scheduled board meeting on August 27, 2007, the school
board approved a district calendar revision. This summer, the Texas
Education Agency changed many of the TAKS testing dates. Because the TAKS
tests were moved to the first week in March, the staff development/student
holiday that was scheduled for Friday, February 29, 2008, will now be
rescheduled to February 22, 2008. This will allow for students to be
present the Friday before the TAKS tests now scheduled for the first week
of March and allows for the Devine Middle School staff to attend the Texas
Middle School Conference in Austin on February 22nd.
