Family and Friends CPR Anytime hosted by Devine ISD’s Parent Learning
Network (PLN)

Devine ISD’s Parent Leaning Network will host Family and Friends CPR
Anytime on Tuesday, February 27th from 9:00-10:30 AM and again from
6:00-7:30 PM to accommodate parent schedules. The sessions will take place
in the Parent Training Library (Rm. 17) at J.J. Ciavarra Elementary and
instructed by DISD School Nurse Cynthia Chalaire R.N. Family and Friends
CPR Anytime was created by the American Heart Association in
collaboration with Laerdal Medical and has been research proven equivalent
to attending a traditional CPR course for learning the core skills of CPR.
The program was developed to increase CPR knowledge and awareness among
the general public since almost 80% of cardiac arrests occur at home and
are witnessed by a family member and less than 7% of sudden cardiac arrest
victims survive because the vast majority of those witnessing the arrest
are people who do not know how to perform CPR. Sessions are limited to 15
participants per meeting. Please call Geri at (830) 851-0710 to reserve
your spot. An interpreter, babysitting (ages 2 and up), and light
refreshments will be provided. Please wear comfortable clothing.

See the link below for additional information as seen on the flyer that
went home with elementary and intermediate students this week.
