Devine ISD School Health Advisory Council (SHAC)

Devine ISD was required by board policy to establish SHAC to make recommendations regarding nutrition, health, physical education and related curriculum. This advisory council was put into place during the 2005-2006 school year and it's members consist of parents, students and school representatives. The mission of Devine Independent School District Health Advisory Council is to promote healthy lifestyles and safe schools for children by promoting the implementation of a coordinated school health program.

Purpose - To provide opportunities to ensure that our local school system creates and implements an age-appropriate health education that responds to the individual needs and the values of the community.
