Wayde Anderson is a 37 year resident of Devine and graduated from Devine High School in 1981. He attended Baylor University and received a BS in Geology from UTSA in 1986. He has worked in the banking industry for 18 years and is currently employed with Frost National Bank where he has worked for the past 11 years.

Wayde and his wife Judy have two children in Devine Schools, 13 year old Reagan and 11 year old Caroline. The Andersons also own and operate a farm and ranch 9 miles west of Devine.

The thing I like most about DISD is the emphasis it places on the District/Parent/Community relationship. The District strives to build and maintain this relationship through numerous school-sponsored events involving parent and community leaders. Second, I admire the drive the District has for improvement. This is evident in its stated goals, progress reports, and internal accountability.
